Local attractions

Guests will be spoilt for choice with the local attractions. As well as having two miles of wide golden sandy beaches, Cruden Bay is home to one of the top 100 golf courses in the world. The village is overlooked by the historic ruins of Slains Castle - constructed in 1597 and believed to be the inspiration for the setting of Count Dracula by Bram Stoker.

Explorers and photographers will love the nearby Bullers of Buchan sea caves and Longhaven Cliffs nature reserve. There is an abundance of beautiful beaches within a ten mile radius including Collieston and Newburgh which is well-known for its seal colony (and is also on the bus route to Aberdeen from our doorstep!)

After a busy day exploring you may wish to visit the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel - only a 2 minute stroll away - for some delicious pub grub.

Other amenities in Cruden Bay include a newsagents, post office and a chemist.
